ENTJ (Natural Leader)

 ENTJs (Natural Leader)

1. Summary

ENTJs are natural leaders, they love to command others, they love to make plans and give directions for everyone. They incorporate many of the basic qualities of leaders: enthusiastic, visionary, objective, fair, serious and responsible. ENTJs with these qualities just don't want to be in power. Because they are resourceful, in most cases, others are happy to be at their disposal, and then gradually become dependent on them. ENTJs with a talent for leadership will never let their subordinates down.

2. Analysis

The ENTJ personality type makes up about 2% - 3% of the population, and it's easy to spot them in life because of their strong presence.

ENTJs are extroverted, warm and generous with others, and very active in social situations (E). When perceiving external things, they are particularly good at discerning and discovering connections and meanings between opportunities and things (N). They analyze the perceptions obtained very objectively and then form insights, strategies or complex systems (T) that drive the organization to achieve its goals. Because they have a high sense of responsibility, they will never be on paper and never let these insights, strategies or systems suddenly remain on the drawing board (J). ENTJs put plans into action.

3. Traits and characteristics

All NTs are sensitive to the system. As the most powerful type of NT, ENTJs want the entire system to evolve and operate in the way they think is correct. Therefore, they are very good at strategic thinking and global thinking, and they belong to a very visionary type. , can be said to be far-sighted. ENTJs are good at grasping the workings of the entire system, and then coordinating their own and others' work according to the priorities of things, so as to finally realize the vision that they foresee. And ENTJs have a strong ability to articulate their strategies, and they are very good at making others understand their vision for the future and what needs to be done to make it happen.

ENTJs prefer leadership positions that command the overall situation. From an early age, ENTJs feel a strong urge to control others and groups. In any organization, the ENTJ would like to be able to control the movement and operation of the organization, in an optimal way to achieve the organization's (or his own) goals. The ENTJ's talent for mobilizing others is inherently a strong hold over others, which allows them to often gather many people around them and often become the leader of a group without even knowing it.

What needs to be distinguished here is the ENTJ and the ESTJ. ESTJs and ENTJs are strong and both like to command others, so the two types will look very similar. However, we can still distinguish the two from the feature function. In comparison, the ESTJ's characteristic function is closer to management, while the ENTJ's characteristic function is closer to leadership, and the distinction between management and leadership can be applied to a well-known saying: management is " doing things right ", and leadership is " do the right thing ". For example, a group of lumberjacks are working together in the forest. The ESTJ will assign each person a task and supervise the implementation. If he sees a lazy person, he will be whipped a few times. The ENTJ is the one who climbed the tree. He is always thinking of “ Is it time to cut down this forest now, and if it is finished cutting down the forest below it... “Then he will stand on the tree and issue instructions to everyone... generally speaking, management is to focus and drive the car, and the leader looks up at the road. So although they also like to give orders, ESTJ's orders will have be more supervisional, ENTJ's orders will be more commanding, ENTJ's orders are mainly directional, not very specific, because their N's There is a tendency to think that specific details are not important.

ENTJs are also very good at dealing with interpersonal relationships. They can regard the interpersonal relationships around them as a dynamic system, and then they can quickly grasp the key points of the operation of this system, so that the entire interpersonal relationship network can move towards their own benefit.

The above qualities are indeed characteristics of a good leader, but most people agree that they apply only to men. The savvy ENTJ woman is always prone to ups and downs. Many of the compliments used to describe leaders, such as "in power," "dignified," "objective," when applied to women are understood to mean "showy" and “domineering." There are many other words that, when used in men, are praise, and when used in women, they become ridicule. But unlike men, ENTJ women are always in a dilemma: if she shows her enthusiasm for work, she will intimidate others present; if she suppresses her urge to act as a leader, she will be unwilling to act as a silent leader. Supporters become impatient and irritable. To resolve this dilemma, ENTJ women should maintain objectivity in difficult situations. At the same time, they need to realize that while many things seem personal, they are not. They should also strike a balance between femininity and natural leadership. They should understand that the two complement each other and that they can demonstrate both in their work. They should realize that their difficulties are nothing special and that every ENTJ, male or female, encounters these kinds of problems. While these recommendations are not a panacea, they are a good place to start.

ENTJs are energetic, outspoken strategists. They are quick and keen to spot opportunities and act immediately. They are willing to share their views with others without reservation. In their view, every objector has the opportunity to have a meaningful conversation so that problems can be solved and the organization can thrive. Since ENTJs are political animals and possess the qualities of politicians, in this communication process, different viewpoints are fairly spread out on the table, and consensus is reached through friendly consultation. It's an exciting process for ENTJs. They see everyday life as a chessboard on which people and things are constantly moving and busy for the benefit of the organization.

This objective and detached attitude allows the ENTJ to never get lost in any one thing while actively participating in many things. They engage in discussions or debates with passion and don't get sullen when they hear unpleasant things. People often accuse ENTJs of always speaking in a rage. This particular tone ostensibly reflects the enthusiasm and bluntness with which they express their views. In essence, the ENTJ is neither angry nor indifferent. They will be surprised and annoyed to hear such accusations. They can worry about the worries of others, but they will never let the pain of others affect them. ENTJs can put themselves in the shoes of others and listen to the tragic experiences of others, but soon turn to talking about irrelevant things, giving the impression of being indifferent and uncaring. The actual reason is not that ENTJs are ruthless, but because they think that since the problem has been addressed and "solved", the next problem should be discussed.

One of the strengths of ENTJs is their passion for dealing with complex matters. While they can sometimes complicate simple matters, their extraordinary ability to inspire and inspire others is rare indeed. ENTJs believe that the measure of success is not a person's popularity, but his achievements. As a result, they developed the notion that to make decisions that benefit the organization, there must be enemies. So they don't want to make mistakes in their own decisions, and sometimes they don't care about the feelings of others.

Another advantage of ENTJs is that they can combine insight into the future with a sense of adventure. Because such people are team animals at heart, they are innovators within the organization, not single-handed entrepreneurs. They do take risks, but they realize at least what they want to achieve. Single-handed entrepreneurs tend to be big gamblers—either win brilliantly or lose horribly. In contrast, ENTJs are more conservative, their success or failure will not be so extreme, and most of the relatively conservative large corporate cultures can accept such a risk-taking approach.

ENTJs take pride in working independently, they like independent, active-minded employee. They believe that the challenge should be bold and meaningful even if it fails. The problem is that not everyone likes to work independently and think freely, some people just like to do what others tell them to do; otherwise they will be at a loss. The psychology of these people is very frustrating for the ENTJ. For those who are unable to face the challenge, the ENTJ can lose patience and become manic and scary. If this mentality persists, it will even affect those who can rise to the challenge. Colleagues won't be able to bear the pressure, and they'll be terrified, not knowing that what they're doing will win the ENTJ's approval.

ENTJs have considerable difficulty expressing warmth, weakness, and helplessness. We know that everyone has a soft part in their heart, and it is a healthy performance to show their weakness and helplessness many times, but ENTJs are the kind of people who hold on to the end, and they will try to maintain their high attitude. With an independent personality, they are unwilling to be inferior to others. This actually causes ENTJs to often encounter many obstacles in their relationships, because in love and marriage, if a person always maintains a high status, it will definitely hinder emotional communication.

The greatest weakness of ENTJs is their arrogance, impatience, and slowness. Because they are strong in objectivity and like abstract thinking, most of them have a high level of intelligence and knowledge, and can usually obtain quite high attainments in academics. But they often despise those who are less capable of learning and reasoning than themselves. Due to their extroverted nature, they are always frank about what they think of them. Their arrogant attitude can dampen the self-esteem of subordinates, thus affecting employee morale and productivity.

INTP (Thinking Scholar)

INTP (Thinking Scholar)

1. Summary

INTPs are creative people with imaginative and deep thoughts. They are easily distracted, and their minds never stop running but have infinite creativity. A penchant for abstract concepts and a deep understanding makes them deliberately engage in any work that is creative and challenging. They are indifferent and easy-going rational people, and most of them are slow in nature.

2. Analysis

The personality type of INTP is rare, accounting for a small proportion of the population, about 1%-2%, and their own characteristics are easily ignored by people.

The four letters I, N, T, and P all have a slight tendency to leave the current world. For example, I may mean staying away from the crowd and enjoying loneliness; N may mean abstraction and stay away from the sensory world; T means into things and not people; the last is P, which may mean having a relatively indifferent attitude. When these four letters are combined, INTP will show a very detached attitude.

This detached attitude makes them the most informal of the 16 personality types. Almost both men and women don't pay much attention to their clothes, and their appearance will give people a casual feeling. In study and life, like all NPs, it is common to lose things and make low-level mistakes; at the same time, like most NTs, prefers things that require exploring principles, and do not like memorization of subjects. Generally speaking, INTPs do not like foreign languages, but they are more interested in abstract thinking subjects such as physics and mathematics.

Special Note: If reality allows, I am afraid that most of them will eventually choose to escape from the world, be a hermit or hide in a corner to observe the laws of the world, and build their own world of thought.

3. Traits and characteristics

For INTPs, the outside world is wonderful, but it sometimes interferes with the INTP's inner world of introspection. They are impulsive, have ideas, and are very creative. Sometimes these ideas can also get INTPs lost because they always have new ideas popping up.

INTPs run into gender issues, and the specifics vary. For INTP women, they are often faced with a dilemma: society's traditional definitions of women are always at odds with their natural preferences. For example, INTPs may be independent, anti-authoritative, argumentative, and sometimes socially impaired (this is related to their Introversion degree), and they tend to be dismissive of social traditions and conventions. They are not against social traditions, but out of their own preferences, they may show neglect of traditional customs. When these are combined with their INT traits of intelligence, nonchalance, etc., we can imagine the predicament that INTP women can find themselves in. This dilemma is compounded by the inability to articulate INTP women. In situations that require intellectual input, INTP women may win, but at the cost of alienating others.

In general, INTPs do a lot of preparation before deciding to put someone on a project. This is because, first, they don't want to be underwhelming; second, these preparations—research, reading, planning things out are what INTPs love to do; and third, INTPs need a good entry point.

In an environment that doesn't appreciate or even doubt I, the situation for women can be even harder. People will look up to someone who is sharp and calm, but if it's a woman, people will think she's a little cold and unfeeling, like a pedant, without the tenderness of a woman.

The situation for INTP men is relatively easy, because calmness is what society demands of men. Even so, they will encounter some problems. For example, their easy-going and mercurial personalities can be at odds with TJ managers in most businesses. INTPs are often reminded to keep their feet on the ground, "Stop daydreaming and get back to work" or "Hope you play by the rules."

Another problem is that INTPs lack social awareness. Usually INTPs are not good at socializing. This is more pronounced in men, and it is relatively easier for women to adjust. INTPs may have little enthusiasm for company parties or other social events, which can make colleagues feel like they don't fit in. It's not that they don't want to be involved, they may even enjoy it if they find the party tolerable, but if the event goes on for too long or there's nothing meaningful to them about conversations and exchanges, they will feel it is a waste of time. Therefore, INTPs may end up feeling guilty because they have not fulfilled their social responsibilities. But if they have to fulfill this responsibility, they may think "I'm in trouble again".

At work, INTPs are a source of ideas, they are most productive when they work alone, and are often creative, energetic, and fun. They love new projects and brainstorming, but get frustrated when too many details are required or deadlines are imposed. When deadlines are met, they keep asking for extensions. For INTPs, life and work are an intellectual challenge to think twice before doing something. They like to be clear and precise in words, and cannot tolerate ambiguous views, or inconsistent theoretical statements, such as both for and against.

INTPs believe that the mark of true maturity is being able to think through something from start to finish. Rigorous logic and consistency are the arts that are admired by INTPs. The great theories of the past and present, whether they are relativity or personality theory, evolution, and even various rules and laws, are attractive to INTPs. Even if your ideas are impractical or even wrong, if you use good logical thinking in the process, INTPs will find it worth listening to.

INTPs express their thinking very clearly. INTPs are born writers, editors, and they use words to describe life. They have an extraordinary ability to articulate what's on their minds and help others achieve that. The brains of INTPs are like a melting pot where they can absorb conversations and re-express them to perfection. In general, they can repeat other people's words well. If someone tries to kill them with something like "let's talk about it later", the INTP will definitely come back to them after a while.

Plus, they're always passionate about what they're doing. Sometimes the characteristics of I make them unable to fully express their thoughts on a matter. However, INTPs can rearrange their ideas and express them in a perfect artistic way. For INTPs this is natural, but for other types it is an "inside perspective".

INTPs have deep thoughts and are very attracted to complex and mysterious things. Complexity seems to be an inherent, unproven value to INTPs. They will instinctively ignore the simple things that they can see through at a glance and instead focus on the complex things that require careful thinking to understand and penetrate. That's why INTPs are probably the type 16 most interested in metaphysics.

In general, it is easier to work with INTPs, they like to have fun at work, think independently, and like work that is self-reliant. They see life as learning. Therefore, any activity that can develop intelligence is extremely valuable, from hands-on disassembly to drafting project proposals, it is an opportunity to learn and grow. This is the main driver that motivates INTPs.

Another interesting feature of INTPs is that they are addicted to various intellectual games, especially those that require complex thinking and are highly challenging to intelligence. This is the same for both male and female INTPs. They like to quietly brainstorm, but don't like to debate, although INTPs are good at debating, because they are often very keen to point out where the other party is illogical or inaccurate. If you and the INTP are close friends, your intelligence will be constantly challenged because they feel that being friends should constantly improve each other's intelligence. In modern society, INTPs will like to play games, especially those games with high intellectual challenges. Games that require complex thinking will be very attractive to INTPs. From a professional perspective, INTPs are very suitable for those jobs that require the establishment of various abstract systems, or the need to explore new knowledge. For INTPs, it is very important whether they need to do more complex thinking in their work, and their work is best knowledge-centric.

Finally, let's talk about the possible disadvantages of INTP. The so-called disadvantage is to look at a person's advantages from the opposite perspective. The detached attitude of INTPs leads them to live a life of isolation. Many INTPs will appear to be particularly "homebound", even a little detached from reality and society; there is one thing that INTPs are very similar to ISTPs, that is, the ability to express themselves is below standard, the wisdom of INTPs is sometimes so complex and profound that they often find themselves unable to explain their thinking clearly to others, which is why there are many scientists in INTPs, but if you want to be a good teacher will encounter even greater obstacles, such as Einstein is good example - although they are really good, but they are in a mess in class, because their interest in subject knowledge may be far greater than For students' interest, This makes them less willing to sacrifice theoretical precision to suit students' understanding, and the result is that many abstract and complex problems are so obvious to them that students do not always understand what they are saying. . Finally, INTPs may be more interested in knowledge than in people, and they are easily attracted to things with complex structures, so they are very insensitive to pure emotional needs, and can even be said to be a little dull, pure emotional appeals are not easy to attract the attention of INTPs, which may be understood as apathy or even ruthlessness in the eyes of many F-preferred people.

4. Preferred career fields

Preferred career fields: computer application and development, theoretical research, academic fields, professional fields, creative fields, etc.

Preferred typical occupations: architect, computer software designer, network specialist, website designer, systems analyst, information service developer, financial planner, venture capitalist, investigator, financial analyst, economist, university professor, knowledgeable Property lawyers, musicians, neurologists, analytical psychologists, corporate finance lawyers, etc.

5. Advantages and disadvantages at work

1. Advantages of INTPs at work may include:

a)    Ability to understand very complex and highly abstract concepts

b)    Outstanding creative problem-solving skills

c)    Independent, adventurous spirit, creative awareness and courage to overcome difficulties

d)    Ability to synthesize and use large amounts of information

e)    Intellectual curiosity, unique insight in gathering required information

f)     Analyze things logically even in stressful situations

2. Disadvantages of INTPs at work may include:

a)    Doing things may be unclear and prone to confusion

b)    May use their abilities and social experiences inappropriately

c)    Impatience with narrow-minded and stubborn people

d)    Dislikes doing things in a traditional, formulaic way

e)    Once the problem is solved, the interest ceases to exist

f)     May be overly theoretical while ignoring reality

ENTP (Doraemon)

ENTP (Doraemon)

1. Summary

ENTPs have many personality types, and it is difficult to describe them in one word. Some call them inventors, intellectuals, and adventurers. In short, they are unwilling to be lonely, optimistic, humorous, curious, like to use their brains, argumentative, creative, willing to do things that they think are boring. If I have to sum it up in one word, I prefer to call them Nobita's "robot cat".

Special Note: Avoid arguing with ENTPs unless necessary, they are arguing for the sake of argument.

2. Analysis

For ENTPs, the outside world is too wonderful, there is no fixed pattern, like to socialise with people (E), full of endless opportunities, they are keen to pursue new and never experienced things (N), logic, Science, right and wrong are their favourite (T) and disdain for the trivialities of life (P).

They're the "would rather give up if you don't have a good start" type.

In study and life, like all NPs, it is common to lose things and make low-level mistakes; at the same time, like most NTs, prefers things that require exploring principles, and do not like memorization of subjects.

3. Traits and characteristics

We know that all NTs are sensitive to the system, and according to the system theory, a system can be analyzed mainly from two aspects: function and structure. Of course, function and structure are interrelated and inseparable. Relatively In other words, ENTJs and INTJs may be relatively concerned with the functional aspects of the system , that is, how to use the system to achieve an external purpose, while ENTPs and INTPs may be relatively concerned with the structure of the system. In other words, although ENTJs and INTJs will often improve and optimize the system, most of their improvements and optimizations serve an external purpose, that is, strategic planning, while ENTPs are the system optimization and improvement as the center of attention. In order to be able to do this, ENTPs have the quality of being highly sensitive, because if you want to improve a theory or optimize a system, you must first know where to improve and where to go. Optimization, right, in this regard, ENTP may be the strongest among the 16-type personalities.

Speaking of which, everyone should understand why ENTPs are called inventors. In layman's terms, ENTPs are the type with the most methods, ideas and ideas among the 16 types. ENTPs are inherently creative machines. When they are in good shape, they often come up with one good idea after another by tapping their heads. If the image of ENTP is cartoonized, the cartoon "Doraemon" that I watched when I was a child is the fat blue cat-shaped robot from the future, which is a typical ENTP-type personality.

As the only lively and active type among rational people, ENTPs are the type who likes to debate the most among the 16 types. ENTPs will be very immersed in the process of thinking and colliding with others. For them, debate is not to convince each other. Rather, it is to enjoy the intellectual and intellectual enjoyment that the debate process itself provides. This is different from INTPs. INTPs debate to perfect the theory and don't like to argue. Based on this, ENTPs will like quiz, brainstorming and other activities very much, and like to compete with others in public, and collide with sparks of wisdom. These are the things that ENTPs like most.

Naturally, in terms of career development, ENTPs are more suitable for the kind of work that can exert their creative talents, the kind of work that needs to constantly break the old framework and come up with new creative ideas, new methods, new suggestions, new ideas or at least work that does not reject new ideas. Considering that the willpower of rational ENTPs is actually very strong, they will not avoid problems, and they often come up with many and good solutions, so ENTPs are actually a very popular type in the workplace.

ENTPs see work and the world as a never-ending playground. They don't care about winning or losing, they only care about one challenge after another. ENTPs are very competitive and freewheeling. They are like architects, happy to draw a sketch of a plan, but all the implementation is someone else's business. Their job is to be curious, and they always like to ask: "Why is this? Why not?"  They often expose other people's scars consciously or unintentionally, and sometimes they are considered ignorant of current affairs.

ENTPs enjoy helping others resolve disputes. Even if it doesn't solve the problem in the end, the whole process is enough for them to enjoy.

ENTPs have an amazing ability to predict the direction of anything. They can hold onto even the flash of inspiration. But after a while, they will have a second, a third, or even a fifth or sixth new idea. They're want to try everything. But they often want to do nothing, only the beginning but not the end.

Another advantage of ENTPs is that they are full of fantasies about life. For them, the future is now, because of their delusional reality, anything can happen. If you doubt the future, the ENTP will not hesitate to come forward and reason with you. In the whole process, one new idea will be generated, so human beings are likely to take another step forward. ENTP's dissatisfaction with reality and ordinary has become the core driving force for their growth. Thanks to ENTP's endless stream of new ideas, human beings are able to break the routine and constantly change, grow, and develop.

ENTPs are always able to take advantage of every possible opportunity to enjoy life. Most of them have a wide range of interests. They can join several social groups at the same time and can do several activities at the same time without feeling tired. At the same time, their abundant energy and exuberant creativity also enhance their abilities.

Never-ending competitiveness is strength of ENTPs. They see each day as a challenge and strive to improve their abilities. Aggressive, insatiable traits give them the opportunity to harvest fruit that others can't imagine. Of course, in real life, not everyone is as self-motivated as ENTPs. Once colleagues and subordinates are disgusted with ENTPs, it will backfire.

ENTP women are often seen as the poster child for rebellion. They are positive, aggressive, and challenge everything, which is often distasteful to colleagues. They like to make puns, which can be misunderstood or conflicted. Usually, a traditional enterprise is not easy to accept this kind of behaviour. Therefore, if ENTP women want to be successful in their careers, they must change their innate nature and learn to adapt to society. Of course, there are times when this bluntness of ENTP women is appreciated. At work, ENTP women are able to do better than expected once they are affirmed.

ENTP men are often praised for their enthusiasm and insight. Their adventurous nature is seen as a male trait. Their foresight is considered a rare asset. The only downside is that their impulsiveness and disdain for facts often keep them from fitting into large, well-organized businesses. Still, they are relatively more acceptable to the general public than ENTP women.

Interestingly, both women and men, ENTPs always have good careers in business. This is largely due to their foresight. This advantage masks their character flaws.

As with other types, ENTPs' weaknesses are the opposite of what they are good at, such as ENTPs being the most resistant to conventional, things or circumstances. For example, asking an ENTP to do work that can be done well as long as it follows the tried-and-true old ways and doesn't require any creativity is basically the same as killing him. Another common problem with ENTPs is that they tend to ignore details and appear impatient when dealing with details. Not only that, they are very easy to underestimate the obstacles and obstacles that may be encountered in the process of realizing a good-looking idea. When ENTPs are faced with ideas and ideas, they tend to have an obvious color of blind optimism. The biggest confusion that ENTPs encounter is also here. They often find that although they have come up with the best solution to a problem in their eyes, others around them don't want to solve the problem in this way, and some even do not want to solve the problem, which is often incomprehensible to ENTPs. Finally, because ENTPs focus too much on intellectual activities, they like debates too much, and they are very good at grasping the loopholes in other people's speeches, so it is easy to give others a sense of being smart. After all, not everyone likes debates so much, and some people feel that debates. These people will often feel that talking to ENTPs is very tiring.

A notable weakness of ENTPs is their lack of execution. ENTP bosses often make their subordinates unable to find their way and confused. They can be interrupted by new projects at any time, even if there are still many projects at hand. The Achilles heel of the ENTP is the inability to complete it despite having hundreds of ideas. Of course, they can excuse that they are thinking, but they will eventually be disliked because they have no results.

ENTPs are capricious, too extreme, and more emotional. Any offensive language will come out of their mouth when they are in a bad mood.

Another serious disadvantage of ENTPs is that they cannot be connected to reality. When details and deadlines come, they run away. At this time, they always have some new ideas to cover up the truth. With any luck, they can complete half the mission. Otherwise, the entire task cannot be completed. They only focus on the whole, but never realize the impact the details have on the whole thing.

To sum up, just like other personality types, ENTPs have more pros than cons. But we cannot ignore the shortcomings, or they will become stumbling blocks and affect the course of things. Through continuous self-awakening and development, the advantages of ENTP will be fully developed.

4. Preferred career fields

Application of MBTI knowledge in workplaces

With MBTI, We can better understand ourselves, understand others, and make full use of the advantages of our personality type (professional personality) in the workplace.

If you are extroverted (E)

No one is 100% introverted or extroverted. Each of us is introverted and extroverted depending on the situation. For example, we may appear more extroverted at work and more introverted at home. However, if you find yourself energized rather than exhausted outside, you are likely to be more extroverted.

Advantage: Whether it's hosting a meeting or giving a client presentation, extroverts shine when faced with a crowd. Extroverts prefer verbal communication, are good at engaging with a variety of people, enjoy leading teams, and want to deal with conflict face-to-face. A passion for meeting new people helps extroverts advance in career planning and extensive networking helps them progress. "

Challenge: Extroverts are good at building working relationships, but can also take a toll on workloads. For those who like to socialize (and get a huge sense of accomplishment from it), it can sometimes be difficult to stop office conversations that interfere with getting work done. "

If you are an introvert (I)

It's not that introverts don't like or value interacting with others, it's just that they have the advantage of getting things done on their own. Introverts prefer written communication and want a chance to reflect before giving feedback in meetings. They need time to recharge themselves, especially in situations that require a lot of human interaction. "

Advantage: When introverts work on an independent project, they'll undoubtedly get things done unexpectedly. Their ideal job is an individual-based job and works well with a detailed report or company budget. They like to take the time to think about problems from different perspectives, and the solutions they propose are well-received for being thorough and thoughtful.

Challenge: Introverts prefer to work alone rather than in teams. Introverts are often misunderstood as too timid, withdrawn, or socially isolated because they often appear quiet and like to bury their heads in thought. "

Note: Introverts must express themselves more, communicate with colleagues. Giving more input in meetings and trying to communicate more with colleagues at lunch or after-hours events will all give introverts a boost in profile and influence. "This is especially important when promotion opportunities come.

If you gather information through Sensing(S)

When it comes to making a decision about something, do you rely on the facts to draw a conclusion? If so, then you are probably on the "reality" end. If you prefer realism, then your thought process is logical and results are based on facts. "

Advantage: Focusing on details not only helps those who prefer reality to progress at work, but also captures details when communicating with superiors and other colleagues. At work, you are able to use your ability to pay attention to detail, especially the verbal and non-verbal cues of others, to build rapport and ensure clear and direct communication. "

Challenge: People who prefer realism pay attention to details, but they tend to ignore or never consider the big picture or strategy of a project/programme and the impact of their individual roles/responsibilities.

Note: Trying to get a more complete picture of the scope of work will help those who prefer reality to make progress. They need to better understand the big picture in a project or scenario and value data beyond facts

If you gather information through intuition (N)

The intuitive-preferred type gathers information through deep reflection. If you prefer intuition, you will look beyond the surface to get to the bottom of a concept and think about new ideas or options.

Advantage: In a brainstorming session, people who prefer intuition are invaluable, always bringing unique ideas. You will be ideal for a company think tank or brainstorming session. Because of your unique ability to think, others may depend on you.

Challenge: People who prefer intuition tend to overlook important details that can be very important to their career success. "

Note: Although the details may not be attractive to you, you should try to pay attention. Make sure you fully understand the details of your own part of the team project before putting it together in the big picture. "

If you make decisions by thinking (T)

No matter which MBTI personality you are, making decisions requires thinking, but if your decisions are based more on facts than feelings about a particular situation, then you are likely to prefer rationality. "If you prefer rationality, you prefer an intellectual approach to a problem, and when you're dealing with or discussing a problem, you're trying to keep your emotions out of the way,"

Advantage: People who prefer rationality have a reputation for being fair when it comes to solving client problems or dealing with colleague disagreements, so they can serve well in leadership roles. To others, you can be a good explorer because you can provide logical solutions to emotional problems. Maybe other co-workers will also ask for your help to resolve work disputes fairly.

Challenge: While the rationality and impartiality of those who prefer rationality are appreciated, in some cases it is necessary to express emotions in the workplace. People who prefer rationality are more likely to be seen as apathetic, insensitive, and unsympathetic. As a result, they must consider how others perceive the actions they wish to take as they work.

Note: Developing empathy, engaging with co-workers, and understanding how co-workers are feeling about a particular situation can all help strengthen work relationships. When a conflict occurs, trying to use your own emotions to understand how the other person is feeling can help resolve the conflict quickly.

If you make decisions by feeling (F)

You will weigh the pros and cons of things, but more situations will be driven by emotion. If you prefer to use your heart, you will often consider the feelings of others when making and sharing decisions. "

Advantage: Emotional people are good at getting along with a variety of personality types, which makes them great team leaders. They understand the emotions of others very well, have good interpersonal skills and are able to work with different types of team members. "

Challenge: Emotional people like to help others, but it is impossible to make everyone happy. Emotional people should make sure that their emotions are not so rich that they interfere with the progress of the project. This type of person dislikes conflict, but avoiding it can lead to bigger problems and may be seen by others as one who favors one over another.

Take note: try to make tough decisions, even though it may be unpleasant for some people. Balancing the need for harmony and inclusiveness enables just and reasonable decisions to be made. "

If you look at the world in terms of Judging (J)

If you prefer judgment based on a set of "rules", others will see you as a follower of rules, someone who likes to follow order.

Advantage: Following the rules and following the proper workflow will both get your boss's approval and set you up for success at work. Leaders appreciate people who keep their employees on the same page. Because such people usually rely on logic to make decisions in order to achieve their goals.

Challenge: Many work situations require flexibility, which is not easy for people with fixed preferences. J-type people are often seen as being too rigid, extremely focused on their own plans, and never giving in.

Points to note: They should be flexible in balancing organizational structures and deadlines within the team, and willing to accept information that is inconsistent with the original plan.

If you look at the world in terms of Perceiving (P)

Perceiving people are more flexible in the way they view their environment. If you prefer conformity, you are often seen as flexible and open-minded.

Advantage: When new challenges arise at work, changing your approach and adapting to change can help you stand out. If willing to be flexible, that means you may offer (or at least have) different solutions. Employees are open-minded and willing to try new ideas and solutions, and their bosses like it. You may be well suited to lead a change program, especially if others don't yet agree. "

Challenge: Of course, if you can't make a decision yet, being flexible and open-minded is not good. People who prefer conformity are often seen as indecisive or frivolous, unable to meet deadlines because they look to a variety of different opinions. "

Note: Being flexible may affect your ability to get work done. Don't rush into a coworker's request, but take the time to consider before responding, making sure your options are in the best interests of yourself and the company.
